RECOM has introduced an economical surface mount stabilized DC/DC converter

     RECOM's new, economical surface-mount voltage stabilized DC/DC converters, the R1M, R2M, R3M and R5M series, are rated at 1W, 2W, 3W and 5W, respectively. The series comes in a common package with a size of 13.2mm (L) x 9.1mm (W) x 10.2mm (H)

     The R2M series is also available in through-hole DIP8 packaging. The product's input range is 4:1 (9-36VDC or 18-75VDC), while the R1M, R2M, and R3M also offer 4.5-18V input options. Single-channel regulated output voltages are 3.3V, 5V, 9V, 12V, 15V, and 24V, while dual-channel outputs are +/-5V, +/-12V, and +/-15V.

     The RxM range has an isolation rating of 1.6kV/1min, no minimum load, and includes continuous short-circuit protection and ON/OFF switch control. Advanced circuit topology and thermal design achieve high efficiency, up to 84%, operating at ambient temperatures from 100 to 105°C (derated), 90°C for the R1M series (1W) and 50°C for 5W; The lowest ambient temperature is -40°C.

     Only A simple external filter is required to meet EN 55032 EMC Class A and Class B specifications. The product has high reliability, for example, MTBF of 8.5MHrs for R1M (1W) according to MIL-HDBK-217F, GB, 25°C test conditions.
